Metal components start as ore, and it takes a lot of energy to mine them, grind them and smelt them to get to the right recycled metal. If metal isn’t disposed of properly, it can damage the environment, and with a limited supply of metal in the world, it’s important that it’s recycled correctly. We buy and sell metal in Worksop to give materials a new life as an entirely fresh item, or with different owners.

Individual clients requiring assistance with household waste such as garage rubbish can also be helped, so it doesn’t matter to us how little or large the quantity is that we deal with.
Yorkshire Metal Recycling offers a comprehensive collection and skip collection service, with the intention of giving you 100% customer satisfaction. We are well-equipped to deal with scrap metal on a scale of any kind. Our weighbridge accurately measures all scrap metal, including oversized items.

Some metal can be recycled, while others cannot, so we make sure that the right metals go through the system. Scrap metal that can be recycled includes:
From old copper pipes plumbing to electrical wiring, it can be dangerous to store excess copper near your home or business. Copper is fully recyclable, so get in touch if you need us to collect it.
Brass is often found in large quantities during deep cleaning projects or renovations. Brass that is found in water system fixtures can usually be melted down and reused to create fresh items.
Recyclable metals such as aluminium, iron, steel, copper and iron are often found on demolition sites, so we partner with such organisations to improve your time, efficiency and money.
We recycle ferrous metals such as iron and steel, as well as non-ferrous scrap metal like aluminium, cobalt, titanium, chromium and nickel.
This is one of the most common types of scrap metal, and it is used in common items such as fizzy drinks cans and food. We melt aluminium tins and cans down so that it can be used in other products.
We can help you dispose of batteries safely. Single-use batteries often contain recyclable materials, including lithium-ion, nickel-zinc, nickel-metal hydride, and nickel-cadmium.
We also buy:
✓ Electric Motors
✓ Brake Discs
✓ Cable
✓ Cars
✓ Lead

Yorkshire Metal Recycling collects the material from you in the first instance, and once we have done this, the metal is compacted so that it fits on the conveyor. The metal is shredded and broken down to be processed in various ways, depending on the metal. For example, steel is processed in blocks, while aluminium is processed in sheets. After this, the metal is heated in a furnace, and then purified. While this sounds like a lot of work, recycling saves more than 75% of energy, making it a worthwhile investment. With all metal, we do the heavy lifting and we are fully insured to save you time and give you peace of mind.
We’d love to hear from you.
Just choose the most convenient method and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
